01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Justin continued to show as a prospect at the UAAAPS Tournament. In the field, Justin shows efficient footwork and is very agile especially to his backhand side. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth getting into his load and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He takes a level swing with good bat speed which leads to square contact and gap to gap pop. Justin is a skilled prospect who should find success in this, his senior season.

01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Justin Wright is a 6'1/170 lbs 3B that showed an exceptional glove at his most recent Baseball Factory outing. At the hot corner, he prepped his feet pre-pitch and worked efficiently to make plays, getting to his fielding position on-time. He was sure with the glove and had a good arm stroke to throw across the diamond. Offensively, he had simple move to hit and kept his head quiet to boost his barrel accuracy. He used the middle of the field and had an easy bat path with his hand and hip coordination. Overall - Justin is only a sophomore with a strong fundamental base and has another 3 years of high school ball to strengthen.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Justin is a talented 3B that also showcased on the mound. At 3B Justin has quick feet, fields out front with soft/sure hands, and he uses the proper footwork with his approach. He has good body control and he gains momentum to his target on throws. His exchange is quick and he made accurate throws across the diamond with carry. On the mound he uses his lower half well, finishes his pitches with a controlled/athletic landing, and pounds the zone working ahead of hitters. His fastball has arm side run and he showed good command. Offensively, he has a smooth load, strong balance, and an advanced approach. He stays in the middle of the field and keeps his hands inside of the ball. He has a lot of raw power and can spray the ball to all fields.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
