12/27/2008 - Christmas Camp and Tournament - 2008 Yonker's 76-80 mph fastball had flat arm side run and his breaking ball was an above average pitch - he showed good feel for it, and it had tight spin and good depth. He was around the plate with his pitches for the most part, though he tended to be up in the zone. His shoulders tended to open early, and he didn't use his lower half much - ended up releasing most pitches with his chest upright and open to his target. He has arm strength to work with, and potential for more velocity with better direction and extension out front. At the plate, he hit from a closed stance and as a result had some trouble getting extension. His swings were better in game at bats, though he still needs to work to get more square when his stride lands. He was solid defensively in the infield, but overall he appears to have much more potential on the mound than as a position player.
