01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kade has progressed very well from event to event with Baseball Factory. The 6'3/200 lbs junior, is a switch-hitting RHP/OF with strong tools. Offensively, he hits well from both sides with repeatability and a compact stroke. He showed to be more of a spray type hitter from the left side with strong lower-half use, and delivered more of a contact, line-drive/level path from the right. In the OF, he worked behind and played through balls, throwing with momentum to his targets. On the hill, he showed a three pitch mix, running his fastball up to 84 mph (his new high at a BF event), spun an 11/5 CB from 66-70, and showed a CH from 71-74. He worked fast, and showed good energy with a fast tempo within his delivery. Overall - Kade is in great shape as he moves into his junior spring, and we look forward to tracking his progress.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kade has improved his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. On the bump, he displays a sound / repeatable delivery, working in line and on time allowing his arm to work loose / free to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 82 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with early break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with tailing action and shows potential as being an outstanding pitch. He shows good composure and competes on the mound. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles n tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick, and work through an aggressive swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side.

05/28/2016 - National Tryout Plus - Salt Lake City, UT Kade continues to show a promising future on the diamond, both in the OF and on the mound. He has improved his foot speed as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid runner at 7.39. In the OF, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles. He works to get behind the ball and plays through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a direct / level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap power. On the mound, fastball showed a range in the upper 70. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Kade has a ton of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities, possibly as a two-way guy.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Kade showed outstanding ability at the Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona. The switch hitting freshman RHP/OF hit with good rhythm from both sides of the dish with loose hands and good direction. He was consistently on-time to launch and used his hands and hips together from both sides to generate excellent bat whip through the zone. Kade's focus moving forward should be on finding and trusting a consistent pace of swing, eliminating the very few out of control swings. In the OF, he worked to the baseball efficiently with good body control, and made plays with a soft glove in front. He played through the ball well to throw with momentum and carry. On the hill, he threw a FB from 76-78, and spun a 12/6 CB from 62-65. His arm was live and he used his legs well to deliver. His potential on the bump is very high as he continues to boost his consistency in his mechanics. All in all - Kade is a very impressive ball player that has advanced feel for the game and is only a freshman.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
