04/14/2024 - National Showcase - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Kade continues to move in the right direction on the diamond. Confidence is present and evident in everything he does. Not only is he an athletic outfielder that can play all three OF spots, but he communicates effectively and works well with others. 60 yard dash came in at 7.09 seconds. From the OF, his throws are consistently on-line with life to his target. At the plate, he finds the barrel and uses the whole field. Kade will be one to watch as he moves on to the next level in the fall.

07/21/2023 - National Showcase - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Kade continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows a closed, crouched setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/02/2022 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Kade is an OF in the class of 2024. Scouts feel he is extremely coachable and plays with high energy. Performed well in games by reaching base 4 times (2B, 2 1B’s and a BB). In the field, he has active feet and a solid 1st step. Clears his hips well and creates angles to stay inside the baseball. Creates a glove lane and his exchanges are quick and clean. Gains a high ¾ release to achieve accuracy and consistency. Throws back to the dirt are on-line and to the target. Working to stay lower in his fielding position and throwing the top of the baseball are adjustments to help improve his game. At the plate, He is balanced and has a quiet head. He sees the ball well and is aggressive with pitches in the strike zone. Gains separation in his launch phase and takes his barrel to the baseball. Working to keep his hands closer to his body will allow him to attack the inside of the baseball more. Overall, Kade is a fine player and with some adjustments, he can become a prospect.

06/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Kade has made some large gains over the last year since our last viewing of him. He improved his 60 yard dash over 1 full second shaving it down from 8.13 to 7.10 seconds. His broad jump bumped from 7'9" to 8'4" and his grip strength also moved up 3 pounds on his left and 16 pounds on his right so his body is getting stronger and faster. Overall, his defense is on point working behind fly balls and attacking the balls that are on the ground. Offensively, he is balanced and his swing is on plane. We would like to see his bat speed improve to achieve higher power numbers. With two more years of development, Kade can get himself in a position to play at the next level.

04/11/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Kade is a 2024 OF/2B. Small frame thin build with strength present with time to fill throughout. Primary OF with fluid and efficient footwork. Athleticism shows as he makes it look easy. Good read allows him to work behind and through the ball. 1 hand high catch with active feet throughout the process. Clean transfer with a quick release who throws ball into infield at 71mph. Secondary 2B, tries to center ball and create good fielding angles. Works to keep eyes behind the ball while trying to field the ball out front. Shows some accuracy on throws to first base. Righthanded hitter begins with an upright and even stance. Quiet head/eyes allow him to track pitches well. Good rotation as he tries to make contact out front. Recorded a bat exit velocity of 70mph. With 4 years to mature and develop, we see him having an opportunity to play at the next level.

07/05/2019 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Kade is an athletic and coachable 2024 OF prospect that was eager to learn. In the OF, Kade starts in an athletic position, he's aggressive to the ball, and fields the ball in a proper fielding position. He makes accurate throws and will improve his arm strength over time with a long toss program. Being on time with his prep step will also improve his first step quickness to the ball. At the plate, Kade starts in a closed stance, keeps his hands low, and stays on plane with the ball. He has a middle approach but needs to be more consistent making contact on fastball. Creating backside drive with his lower half will help him get the barrel to the ball throughout the swing. Kade worked hard all week and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
