Official Scouting Report

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Kade continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop showed in the 2.72 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the ball quicker. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his to velocity to date at 6 mph. Fastball showed a range of 64-69 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/02/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Kade continues to progress on the diamond, this time showing behind the plate. Defensively, he sits in and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He gets the ball out quickly and puts his throws on the bag accurately - with pop times at 2.70. Times will continue to drop as he strengthens his arm and quickens his transfer. With the bat, this righty maintains a square setup with a knee to knee load. He swings the bat with intent, connects and drives the ball on a line, creating good extension through contact. Engaging his lower 1/2 more will help to increase pop off of the barrel. Only a 2025 grad - Kade has tools with still a ton of time to develop.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Kade is an athletic and talented 2025 2-way prospect that was eager to learn. On the bump, Kade gather over the rubber, he separates on time, and works down hill. He needs to continue to ride his back leg toward the plate and keep a strong front side. In the OF, Kade is on time with his prep step, he reads the ball off the back well, and works behind the ball. He’s aggressive to the ball and has a clean exchange to throw. He needs to continue to improve his first step quickness and overall arm strength. At the plate, Kade starts in an open stance and gets his front foot down on time. He keeps the barrel on plane and has a simple middle approach. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive position, attack the inside part of the ball, and be aggressive on fastballs early in counts. Kade is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/04/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Kade is a young, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Kade has active feet, he covers ground, and his hands are firm. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a short arm action to his cut off man. On the mound, this RHP has good balance over the rubber, he separates his hands on time, and finishes completely toward his target. Offensively, Kade has a tall stance, a square stride, and good balance. He has a short/aggressive swing and shows the ability to spray to all fields. Kade can continue to get better with work on the following.

Outfield
1. Play lower
2. Pre-pitch actions
3. Loosen body actions
Pitching
1. Control
2. Loosen AA
3. Keep head on target
Offense
1. Finish
2. Rhythm

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
