01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Kaden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter but projects best from the right side. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 4. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/25/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Kaden is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays SS and OF. In the INF, Kaden has quick/fluid feet, soft hands, and he moves with agility to the baseball. He has fluid actions, fields cleanly, and throws with carry and accuracy across the diamond. In the OF, Kaden has active feet, soft hands, and he fields aggressively. He makes plays consistently and throws with a long/accurate arm to his target. At the plate, Kaden can switch hit and is currently better from the right side. He stands in well balance, his swing is level, and he makes hard/consistent contact. From the left, Kaden has a square set-up, he swings on plane, and he hits with some strength to the pull side. Kaden can continue to get better with work on the following.

Infield
1. Stay relaxed
2. Arm strength
Outfield
1. Release
2. Avoid drifting
Offense
1. Shorten swing
2. Rhythm
3. Lower body

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
