  • OF/LHPPosition Projection

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Kaden is a projectable 2-way player (OF/LHP) who shines in a variety of ways on the diamond. At this event he would post one of his most impressive days with the Factory yet. In the OF, he showed off his arm with a 71 mph arm velocity paired with an athletic ready position, + range, and accurate arm. Not only did he impress in the OF, but he also showed his pop off a little with a 76mph exit velocity. His short hands, activated load, and smooth rhythm would help him make hard contact in all of his rounds. Kaden stepped on the mound and showed off his command with his fastball, he worked quickly through the lineup. His breaking ball also showed well with good depth on his CB. Overall, Kaden is a solid 2-way prospect that projects as a OF but can certainly get it done on the mound, we are excited to see where this game takes him in the future.

07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Kaden is an athletic OF/LHP who is a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an aggressive approach. Hands are quick, and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, showing a line drive approach with plus barrel accuracy, flashing gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 64-65 mph with cutting action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch with tailing action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 5 years to further develop, Kaden has upside on the diamond with time and room to continue to progress his game.

03/01/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Indianapolis, IN Kaden is a very talented and athletic 2-way player who showed very well at the workout in Indianapolis. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and works lightly on the balls of his feet. He takes good angles and tracks down fly-balls hit to his right and left working into position behind the ball. Hands are sure/soft with a clean transfer to throw. At 1B, he has active prep footwork and moves well laterally. He maintains athletic actions and funnels the ball smoothly. As a hitter, this lefty has fluid rhythm to load. Swing is quick on a short/direct path as he squares the ball up and hits line-drives consistently. He engages his lower 1/2 which aids in pop off of his barrel. This athlete has a ton of upside. Continuing to work on the following will help take his game to the next level.

Outfield
1. Arm strength (long toss program)
2. Play through the ball more
3. Work in-line toward target
Infield
1. Work 'around' ground ball
2. Follow through on throws
Hitting
1. Stride more square
2. Timing
3. Contact points

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
