Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Kaden is a hardworking 3B/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set. Offensively, Kaden has an open setup with his weight in the back of his stance. He has an open stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Kaden has a long, upward swing path and is developing bat speed. He has middle of the field approach. Kaden is a contact type hitter who has the ability to use the whole field. In the field, Kaden works hard and fields the ball in the center of his body. He receives the ball with a stiff glove in a high position. Kaden has a long exchange leading into a restricted arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He is working to play through the baseball and add arm strength. He does give a nice feed for double plays. On the mound, Kaden keeps his eyes on his target and repeats his mechanics. He has a balanced delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. Kaden stays square to home plate and can benefit from a longer stride. Overall, Kaden is a coachable prospect who potential to improve with development.

08/17/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Sioux Falls, SD Kaden worked out at 3B and on the mound at his last workout with The Factory. Defensively, Kaden has playable footwork to the ball, he makes routine plays, and keeps the ball in front of his body. He gives max effort, attacks slow rollers, and has some accuracy to his target. On the mound, Kaden keeps his eyes on target, he has good glove side lead, and he is around the zone with his pitches. Offensively, Kaden has an open stance, a level swing path, and he makes consistent contact. Kaden will need to work on the following in order to improve skills.

Defense
1. Pre-pitch actions
2. Fielding position
3. Range
Pitching
1. Arm strength
2. Release
3. Finish

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Kaden is a long, strongly-built 3B prospect who is a great teammate and is always working hard to get better. He does a good job at third making plays and keeping the ball in front, knocking down hard hit balls. He has feel for the position, doing good work pre-pitch to be ready to field down the line or in the hole. He shows a clean exchange on feeds and throws across the diamond to make plays. At the dish, he gets on time with his front foot to launch through the zone. He makes good adjustments from pitch to pitch and is able to put the ball in play consistently. Working on being more direct to the ball will lead to more square contact and base hits. Kaden is a prospect we definitely want to keep an eye on moving forward.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
