03/20/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Kaevon is a 2B/OF in the class of 2023 out of Laplata, MD. In the OF, he showed athletic/fluid footwork by having quick feet and taking proper angles. He tracks the ball well and works to get behind the fly ball. He fields the run through ball with momentum while staying low. His throws were accurate and on target to his cut offs. At 2B, his footwork continued to be fluid while reading the ball off the bat. He read hops and got into a low fielding position while presenting his glove early to the ground ball. He made clean exchanges along with accurate feeds/throws. At the plate, he was fundamentally sound by having balance in his swing couple with quick hands and a good bat path. He did a good job of staying inside the baseball which allowed him to hit balls all around the plate hard to all fields. Kaevon is a fundamentally sound player we believe has the skills for the next level if he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
