11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14)
Kai is an athletic and talented 2027 utility prospect that was eager to learn. At 2B, Kai is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and works from the ground up. He fields the ball in front of his body, he has a clean exchange, and has good footwork on double plays. Improving his first step quickness and arm strength will improve his overall game. Behind the dish, Kai presents a low target, he works behind the ball, and has a quiet primary stance. When blocking, he needs to continue to lead with his glove and control the ball with his chest. When throwing, he needs to continue to have a clean exchange, use his lower half, and keep his shoulder in line towards his target. At the plate, Kai starts in a squared stance, he loads his hands back, and attacks the inside part of the ball. He keeps the barrel on plane and he looks to hit the ball to all fields. Using his lower half more consistently will improve his overall swing. Kai will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
