06/04/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Jupiter, FL Kalden is a young, 2- way player who catches and plays 3B. Behind the plate, Kalden has playable hands and feet, and he looks the ball into his glove. He tucks his chin when blocking, keeps the ball in front of his body, and throws with some accuracy to 2nd base. At 3B, Kalden attacks the ball aggressively, he shows good range, and a clean exchange. He has a short arm action across the diamond and can throws from multiple arm slots. Offensively, Kalden has a square set-up, okay bat speed, and he hits hard to the pull side. He can improve overall skills by working on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
