01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Kale is a coachable LHP/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Spring Training at Pirate City. On the mound, Kale works with a quick arm and extends through his release, finishing with a controlled landing. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 64mph. Breaking ball sits at 56mph with 2-8 break. Being more controlled gathering to a balance point can help Kale improve as a pitcher. In the field, Kale shows aggressive footwork and covers ground well. He gets into position on time and fields the ball out in front with sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. Kale can improve defensively by lengthening his arm action. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance with loose hands. He is controlled getting into his load and shows good hip/hand coordination, producing solid line drives. Taking a shorter stride can help Kale improve as a hitter. Overall, Kale is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.
