10/17/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Ledford featured standout arm strength and bat speed, and was a versatile defender with the ability to play 3B and C. Behind the plate, he translated his arm strength to advanced catch and throw ability, with pop times as low as 1.87. In a short look defensively in the game, he sat well and showed good hands to receive. At third base, he moved his feet well and showed good hands to play the ball out front. He again showed big arm strength, to the point where he could function with arm strength in reserve to quicken his release and improve accuracy. At the plate, he generated big bat speed and accelerated the barrel through the hitting zone. The ball came off his bat very well when he got it out front. He gets his hands back fairly deep, making for a long distance to travel to contact - but he certainly appears to have the requisite speed to cover that distance. Overall, a naturally gifted and defensively versatile player with the ability to create speed in multiple ways.
