06/22/2012 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2
Kaleb worked out both on the mound and at SS during his time in Omaha. On the hill, Kaleb showed a short / quick arm action, he attacks hitters by pounding the strike zone, and he works in good rhythm. He throws strikes, repeats his delivery, and gets good extension on his pitches. Defensively, Kaleb showed good pre-pitch actions, he works around the ball well, and he can throw from different arm angles. At the plate, Kaleb has a good set-up, a proper bat path, and a good finish.

Caleb is a tall and thin RHP that will graduate in 2013. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good and loose arm action. He shows a repeatable delivery getting good extension on the front side with good tempo and rhythm. He stays in-line with his target and finishes in an athletic fielding position. He throws his fastball in the 78-81 mph range with good life to it and plus command to both sides of the plate. His curveball has good arm speed and decent break to it but he loses command because he gets under the ball at times causing him to lose the feel of it. His changeup shows good arm speed with slight arm side run to it. He needs to continue to develop his off-speed pitches and continue on a solid long toss program. Overall strength and physical maturation will help Kaleb develop more arm strength. He is a player to watch as he continues to develop for the next level.
