12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Kamden is an excellent catching prospect in the 2024 class. Scout loved his demeanor, body language and athletic actions. Behind the plate, he has a relaxed feel and is a quiet receiver who can stick pitches. He is athletic in his secondary position and his feet are quick to position himself to release the baseball. His exchanges are quick and he can get the ball in the air (2.16 pop) with a high ¾ release. His feeds are on the bag with backspin. At the plate, scouts raved about his strike zone knowledge and his ability to compete at the plate. Showed well in games with 3 hits (2 2B’s). He has a comfortable feel in the box and is on-time with the pitch. Bats speed is solid (84 exit velo) and will only increase as he gains strength. Overall, Kamden is a complete gamer and an outstanding prospect in the 2024 class.

01/12/2020 - National Tryout Plus - Waipahu (Honolulu), HI Kamden improved hitting numbers to 45's and showed very well behind the plate during his last workout with The Factory. He is a strong/athletic hitter with good balance and a rhythmic swing. He has explosive bat speed, he makes hard/consistent contact, and he can hit to all fields. Behind the plate, Kamden has active feet, firm hands, and he moves with agility to the baseball. He is quick to block, tracks well, and has a strong arm with momentum to 2nd base.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Kamden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.47 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 5 for 10 with a 3B. 12/27/2018 - 2018 Inaugural West Coast Winter Classic - La Verne, CA Kamden is a thin and athletic 2023 Catching prospect with high energy. Behind the dish, Kamden has a balanced primary and secondary stance. He presents a low target and works behind the ball when receiving. He leads with his glove, controls balls in the dirt, and shows the ability to block the ball laterally. Kamden has a clean exchange but needs to create momentum with his lower half and quicken his release. At the plate, Kamden starts in a squared stance, gets his front foot down on time, and has good barrel control. He has a compact swing and keeps his head down at contact. He needs to continue to create backside drive with his lower half and think knee to knee in his load. Kamden was eager to learn and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
