09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Kamdyn continues to show improvements on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 1B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 86 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with short break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Kamdyn is a talented 2-way player that continues to impress on the diamond. On the mound Kamdyn shows advanced actions with a solid 3-pitch mix of a FB/CB/CH. The FB is up to 83 with command, the CB is 11-5 with late break, and the CH is 71-72 with deceptive FB arm speed. Pitching, he shows confidence on the mound starting with simple movements staying loaded in his back hip. He shows a fluid arm action as he works down the mound keeping a good stride and finishing with extension. He rotates around his front leg and finishes with good direction. At 3B, Kamdyn shows relaxed actions with smooth footwork as he ranges to the ball. He fields on time with his glove out in front of his body making clean exchanges. He gets rid of the ball with accuracy and delivers it across the diamond with strength. At the plate he sets up in a tall stance with high hands. He shows a simple rhythm getting his foot down on time. He rotates his core well to contact showing the ability to hit to all fields. Kamdyn continues to shine on the field and shows great project-ability as a 2-way player.

06/14/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Las Vegas, NV Kamdyn is a young (2023 grad) 2-way player as a RHP/3B. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CUT, CH) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point, maintains level shoulders and fires from a loose arm action. FB ranges from 51-53 mph as he keeps it down in the zone. Cutter has 11/5 shape while changeup shows slight sink. At 3B, he hustles into a square fielding position and makes the plays. He gathers well, has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws across the diamond to 1B. With the bat, Perry has a square setup with a solid base. He takes a hack and hits the ball back up the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
