10/12/2016 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Kamen is a solid, athletic 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.02. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying tremendous power potential. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) through an aggressive approach. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with power to all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around and plays through balls with his body. He moves well laterally and presents soft /sure hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together and he gets rid of the baseball quickly with life, carry, and accuracy on his throws. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude, works hard, and he is a student of the game. Kamen has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
