03/03/2019 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Karter is a tall 1B prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Karter shows efficient footwork and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. Making a quicker exchange can help Karter improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes an aggressive hack, leading to solid pop. Karter can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With two more years to develop, Karter has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
