07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Kase is a thin and athletic 2019 SS prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At SS, Kase is on time with his prep step, he's aggressive to the ball, and plays through his backhand. He communicates well on the field and has good footwork on double plays. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Kase starts in a tall stance, loads his hands back, and stays balanced through contact. He hits the ball to all fields and keeps his hands inside the ball. Continuing to create backside rotation and working the barrel behind the ball will allow him drive the ball gap to gap. Kase will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Kase continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At SS, defensive abilities have really improved as he displays smooth / clean actions. Hands are clean and present well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds/ turn of the double play. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, power potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the baseball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a very hard worker.

09/24/2017 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Kase is a lean SS who will graduate in 2019. At the plate he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but needs to play through with his body. Hands are clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Kase has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
