10/07/2015 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Kash continues to shine on the diamond. This RHH backstop is fun to watch. Offensively, he stands in athletically with fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is quick as he connects with strength and drives the ball to the deep parts of the park. He battles and proved to be a tough out, seeing a lot of pitches. Behind the dish, he looks the part with fluid actions. Pitches in the dirt are quickly centered/smothered off of his chest as he is quick to his feet. Transfer/exchange is smooth as he rockets strong throws on the money to 2B. Runners won't want to test his cannon for an arm. Kash is vocal and takes charge of his team. A very solid all-around talent - Kash will play at a very high level.

07/29/2015 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Westerkamp continues to show progress in his game both offensively and defensively. He will control the running game from behind the plate with his feet and arm. Throws are accurate with on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. He shows quick hands and a strong lower half that work well through swing. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off bat when centered as he works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields, displaying gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 3 for 7. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and very coachable. Kash has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

07/20/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Kash has a solid showing at the event with a promising future behind the plate. Behind the dish, pop times showed in the low 2.00 range. Arm strength is outstanding with throws displaying life, accuracy, and on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He will control the running game with his feet and arm. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play at the next level. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact as he works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power grade will continue to improve as he works to use his lower half more aggressively.

05/23/2015 - College PREP - Salt Lake City, UT Kash is a talented prospect behind the dish who has an athletic/solid build. Behind the dish, he sits in well with sway and flexion. Footwork is quick as he gets around pitches in the dirt, centering/deadening them off of his chest. He has a quick/clean exchange and puts the ball on the bag in as low as 1.89. Offensively, Kash displays a balanced approach with rhythm in his hands. Barrel delivery is quick to and through the zone as he connects with strength. He hits the ball where it's pitched and drives it to all parts of the field. A power hitting catcher - player's like Kash are in high demand at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
