01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament
Kaysen is an athletic OF/2B prospect who showcased his skills at the Under Armour All-American Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Kaysen shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body with soft, sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, getting good backspin through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. Overall, Kaysen is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
01/13/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Honolulu, HI
Kaysen showed well both offensively and defensively during his last workout in Honolulu. At 2nd base, Kaysen has quick/active feet, soft hands, and he fields athletically. He moves well to the ball, makes plays cleanly and consistently, and throws with accuracy and momentum to his target. At the plate, Kaysen has a square/athletic, he loads well, and has a rhythmic swing. He has plus bat speed, he makes hard, and he hits with strength; using his lower body.
10/10/2018 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic
Kaysen is a short and athletic 2019 middle infield prospect. At 2B, Kaysen is on time with his pre-step, he presents a low/early glove, and has a clean exchange. He needs to work on anticipating balls off the bat and practice game like throws in his throwing program. At the plate, Kaysen starts in a crouched stance, he gets his front foot down on time, and he hits off a firm front side. He creates separation in his load and sprays the ball to all fields. He adjustments pitch to pitch and has the ability to grind out AB's. Kaysen was eager to learn and will continue to improve with experience.
01/21/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI
Kaysen showed solid defensive skills once again at his last workout in Kapolei. He moves fluidly to the ball, fields athletically, and his hands are soft. Kaysen takes good angles to the ball, he funnels well, and has a quick/accurate arm to his target. At the plate, Kaysen has an athletic/open stance, he swings in good rhythm, and makes hard/consistent contact.

Kaysen continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, he utilizes his athletic feet well in his lateral movements and displays a solid backhand. He is aggressive and presents soft / sure hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws. At the plate, he is aggressive with quick hands working through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing.
10/18/2017 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic
Kaysen is a versatile, hard-working prospect with a baseball player's mentality and IQ. He has made great strides with the bat, with quick twitch actions to load and launch with good bat speed. He is fluid and balanced throughout his swing, working on a short, level path to make consistent, line drive contact to all fields. He shows the ability to play both middle infield positions with fluid footwork and soft, quick hands. He stays low with fluid actions to cover lots of ground and make quick, smooth DP feeds and turns. Kaysen can really do it all on the diamond and has even more potential in his game.
07/14/2017 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Kaysen is a prospect on the diamond and continues to improve his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, defensive abilities are now outstanding as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws. At the plate, power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he has strength in his swing. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. At the event, he was 5 for 8. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Kaysen continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60-time date. In the MIF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays quick, athletic actions. He uses his quick / athletic feet well in his lateral movements as he covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Throws display life, accuracy, and on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he has improved his hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick creating bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 9. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard on the diamond. With 3 years to further develop, Kaysen has a lot of upside with time and room to progress his game.
01/31/2016 - National Tryout Plus - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI
Kaysen continues to work hard on his skills. In the MIF, he shows quick footwork moving well into a square/athletic fielding position. He makes the backhand play fluidly and gets rid of it accurately across the diamond. With the bat, this RHH has a balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. He squares the ball up consistently and drives it on a line. Only a 2019 grad - Kaysen has skills and will continue to physically mature and get stronger which will help to unlock his full potential on the diamond.
07/10/2015 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1
Kaysen is a young, lean 2B that will graduate in 2019 with a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, he plays aggressively with his feet, working around ground balls and plays through balls while presenting hands well out front. Feet / hands work well together through the fielding process and shows off his athletic abilities on is his feeds / turns of the double play. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. He works through a quiet / simple approach. Hands are quick and work inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he had an outstanding event, going 8 for 11 with a 3 3B as he gets around the bases. With 4 years to further develop, Kaysen has the makings of a special type player that will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
