03/24/2024 - National Showcase - Sacramento, CA Kacee continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents more out front. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through fly balls more with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his foot quickness to cover a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side.

01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Kacee continues to impress scouts with his level of play and improvement. He recently competed at the BF Preseason All American event at IMG Academy and showcased his talents. Kacee who will graduate this spring, worked out primarily at 2B and saw time in the OF. On the dirt, he showed excellent feet and speed (6.95 runner). He creates positive angles and shows agile movements and body control. He plays low to the ground and his solid footwork allows him to be square and on-time to field. His hands are soft and he redirects to a loose and quick arm. Shows versatility by using numerous arm slots based upon his defensive zones. His arm is accurate and is in synch with his body. Scouts describe him as a plus defender. At the plate, he showed the ability to reach base (2 hits, 2 BB’s) and used his speed very well. He incorporates his lower half and shows the ability to consistently get his barrel to the ball. Working to get his front foot down will allow for more balance and natural movements. Overall, Kacee can help the right college program next year.

09/27/2023 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2024) Kacee is an athletic and hard working 2B/RHP in the 2024 class. In the field, he plays on the balls of his feet and his feet are active. Shows agility with speed (6.90 runner) and covers his defensive area well. Obtains a squared fielding position and can get rid of the baseball quickly at 78-81. Working to field the baseball out in front will allow for hop adjustment. On the mound, he has a solid feel for pitching and competes on every pitch. His FB sat 70-2 with run in the zone. His CH showed FB arm speed at 59. At the plate, he shows great rhythm and balance. His Hands are comfortable and his balance stays inside his feet. Proves to be a high contact rate hitter and working to stay inside the pitch will allow for more full field production. Overall, Kacee is a solid 2024 prospect.

09/03/2023 - National Showcase - San Francisco, CA Kacee is a 2B/RHP in the 2024 class. In the field, he shows quickness and range with his 7.12 speed. Has solid pre-pitch movements and will gain ground to the baseball with excellent attack angles. Pocket has feel and is solid on his backhand play. Shows a quick exchange and is athletic to change arm slots based upon his defensive zones. Arm plays at 81 an is accurate. Working to time his DP feeds and receives along with a two-handed exchange will increase his chances of finishing the play. On the mound, he has a 3-pitch mix from a 3 qtr. slot. His FB touched 71 with tailing actions. His Cb has 11-5 shape and was in the zone at 60-2. His CH showed FB arm speed with slight movement. At the plate, he begins with an open stance and gets into his load well. Stays inside his feet and hits off a firm front side. Can use the whole field with a line drive approach. Overall, Kacee is a fine player with upside.

06/11/2023 - National Showcase - Stockton (Sacramento), CA KC continues show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.94 runner. At the plate is where he has improved the most, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 69-71 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/10/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sacramento, CA KC is a 2B in the 2024 class. On the dirt, he has quick feet and solid range (7.04 60 yd ). Proves to be agile in the field and can adjust to hops properly. He funnels the baseball well and can release from numerous slots based upon his defensive zone. Has solid awareness on his feeds and turns. His arm works well and is accurate and on-line to his targets. At the plate, he can spray the ball to all fields with his line drive approach. Loads his hands well and creates a solid bat angle to attack the inside part of the baseball. Working to shorten his barrel path consistently, will help him see the ball longer and drive the pitch. Overall, KC has strong starting points to build off of.

05/02/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Reno, NV KC is a class of 2024 2B/RHP prospect. In the field, he shows good pre-pitch actions. Shows the ability to cover ground. Fields ball in center of his body. Does a good job getting his eyes behind the backhand and works through the baseball. At the plate, he shows the ability to get extended. Shows the ability to hit to all fields. Does a good job using his lower ½ throughout the swing. On the mound, he pitches from a ¾ arm slot. Throws 3 pitches for strikes. Fastball shows good sinking action. Curveball has 10-4 breaking action. KC is a good young prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

11/06/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona KC is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training & Competition in Arizona. In the field, KC fields in an athletic position and makes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help KC make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated in a simple load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a smooth swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. KC can barrel up more baseballs by getting his stride foot down sooner. On the mound, KC is controlled gathering to a balance point and works inline toward the plate. He drives his lower half well and extends through his release. KC's fastball tops out at 63mph with arm side run. Developing off speed pitches can help KC keep hitters off balance. With four more years to develop, KC has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/20/2020 - All-In Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA KC is a projectable, switch hitting OF who graduates in 2024. At the plate, he currently shows more naturally from the right side. He has centered balance, a solid base and fluid rhythm to load. He takes a hack, barrels the ball up and hits the ball where it's pitched, spraying it to all parts of the field. Working to create more extension through contact will help to increase power. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and gets good reads off of the barrel. Transfer is clean with accuracy on his throws into his target. Only entering his freshman year, KC has skills with still a ton of time to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
