08/16/2014 - Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory Ke'Bryan makes the game look easy with an impressive skill set and excellent instincts for the game. His right-handed stroke produces hard line drive contact to all fields, and he is unfazed by velocity or off-speed stuff. At third base he has smooth actions with soft hands and a strong, accurate arm. Ke'Bryan is the son of former Major League player, Charlie Hayes.

06/30/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Firecracker Classic 18U Participant 6/30/14 - Physical, strong, athletic build. Good footwork in the field takes good angles to the ball, athletic fielding position. Quick transfer and quick release has soft sure hands with an accurate throw with carry. Good balance at the plate with quick bat speed through the zone. Gap-to-gap power and able to drive the ball to all fields. Went three for four with two singles and a double and two RBIs. Participating in the 2014 Under Armour All America Game. Committed to Tennessee.

01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Hayes continues to show pro abilities in his baseball tools and the makings of a special type player at the next level. He continues to show as a 3B/RHP but currently projects best at 3B for the next level but has a big upside on the mound. Defensive grades are tremendous as he displays sure hands and athletic feet with big play potential. Feet are quick / action as he moves well laterally, showing plus range. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands generating outstanding bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He shows plus barrel accuracy with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 3 for 5. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 88 mph. Fastball showed a range of 86-88 mph and he hides the ball well. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp break and late depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup showing good arm side run. Off speed pitch show potential of being quality pitches that will get outs at the next level. Command / control are outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He has the makings of a solid 2015 draft and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy.

11/02/2013 - 2013 Under Armour Futures Series Texas Ke'Bryan gets better each time we see him. He is one of those rare prospects where the game just seems to come easy to him. At the plate, he has a natural RH stroke with outstanding barrel accuracy. He sees the ball well, lets the ball travel and then attacks it with quick hands. The ball comes off his bat loudly to all fields with plenty of power potential. He is unfazed by velocity and reacts very well to off-speed offerings. This is an advanced hitter. As a defender, he has fluid actions and soft, sure hands. His glove position is excellent and reads the ball so well that he never seems to get a bad hop. In addition, he has plenty of arm strength across the diamond and can make plays and throws on the run. Overall, Ke'Bryan is a special talent with outstanding tools and a natural feel for the game.

11/03/2012 - 2012 Team One Futures Series Texas KeBryan has a strong frame with a thick lower half. At 3B, he showed soft hands and a long loose arm. Good double play feeds and very quick. Good on slow roller. At the plate, uses the middle of the field and showed good barrel accuracy. Good separation and finished strong. On the mound, he showed quick arm action with his fastball ranging from 83-87mph. Spotted his fastball on the outer third very well. Good glove side action. Striker thrower. Good blood lines.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
