10/25/2015 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN This talented 2-way player continues to shine on the diamond. Offensively, this RHH displays a balanced setup with a solid base. Barrel delivery is on-time through a level path as he connects and drives the ball on a line back up the middle of the field. At SS, Keagan has active prep footwork and is aggressive to come and get the FB. He has smooth/athletic actions, gathers well and has a clean exchange to throw. On the mound, Bagley has a repeatable delivery as he pounds the zone with strikes. He gets good glove side lead and stays directional toward the plate. Slider is best off-speed pitch with 10/4 shape. A 2018 grad - Keagan continues to progress in his skills and will continue to fill out (gain strength) as he matures physically.

10/26/2014 - National Tryout - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Keagan showed strictly as a SS at his most recent outing with Baseball Factory. Defensively, he worked his feet pre-pitch and was quick to take his first step to the ball. He had a sound approach and made plays with good body control. He was soft with the glove to field and showed some feel with backhands. Staying athletic to make all plays and quickening his release is essential to his further development. Offensively, he has good balance and gets his hands activated. He had a middle approach and was direct with the barrel to contact. Rhythm and timing along with more head control will increase overall hit ability with greater barrel accuracy. Overall - Keagan continues to show improvements to his game and has a lot of time to continue strengthening for a promising high school career.

07/09/2014 - National Tryout - Minneapolis, MN Keagan continues to show as a SS but did show on the mound for the first time. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level where he has improved his baseball abilities. At the plate is where he has improved the most improving hitting and power grades through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and make consistent hard contact through a level swing path and works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. At SS, foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, but will benefit by continuing to increase foot quickness. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 61-62 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength.

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic Keagan is very talented player with big upside. As an infielder he displayed good quickness, body control, footwork and he plays through well but he needs to work on positioning at each of the infield spots. At the plate Keagan showed good separation, balance, bat speed, barrel accuracy and swing path. However he tends to get out around the ball at times (especially in hitters' counts) and he needs to avoid getting too rotational. Keagan has a lot of tools and if he continues to work hard he can be a standout player in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
