07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Keagan is a 2027 2B/RHP prospect who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. At second, he does a great job of centering the baseball and shows off sure, relaxed hands when fielding the baseball. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his targets. He recorded a raw velo of 61 MPH. At the plate, he starts in an athletic, closed stance with low hands and gets a short stride to the pitcher. He shows off good contact skills and uses all fields. He recorded a max exit velo of 55 MPH, improving on his previous marks. In game action, he reached base in 4 of 7 plate appearances with four walks. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot and pitches aggressively, really going after hitters. He starts squared to the plate and gets on-time separation. He has good feel for the strike zone and he ran his FB up to 58 MPH. His CB is loopy but he throws it for strikes. He struck out one in 2 innings of work and allowed 3 hits in game action. Keagan is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to get stronger and enters his freshman year of high school this fall!
