07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Keagan is a 2027 2B/RHP prospect who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. At second, he does a great job of centering the baseball and shows off sure, relaxed hands when fielding the baseball. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his targets. He recorded a raw velo of 61 MPH. At the plate, he starts in an athletic, closed stance with low hands and gets a short stride to the pitcher. He shows off good contact skills and uses all fields. He recorded a max exit velo of 55 MPH, improving on his previous marks. In game action, he reached base in 4 of 7 plate appearances with four walks. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot and pitches aggressively, really going after hitters. He starts squared to the plate and gets on-time separation. He has good feel for the strike zone and he ran his FB up to 58 MPH. His CB is loopy but he throws it for strikes. He struck out one in 2 innings of work and allowed 3 hits in game action. Keagan is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to get stronger and enters his freshman year of high school this fall!

04/02/2023 - National Showcase - Springdale, AR Keagan is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS, he works to center the baseball and showed willingness to layout for baseballs. Works into a square fielding position with good glove actions and hands out front. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 61mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and has level eyes. He has a simple and repeatable delivery. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 56-57mph with plus command, a breaking ball with 11/5 shape that he throws for strikes, and a developing changeup. FB was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, he hits from a tall and open stance. A simple setup to start and takes an aggressive swing. Keeps bat flat in the zone for a long time and made consistent contact. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 51mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way player making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
