01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Keaton is a 2022 1B prospect who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. At 1B, he starts with a good prep-step, with efficient feet, and is a big target at first base. Good 1st step reads off the bat enable him to create good fielding angles as he fields from an athletic fielding position with hands out front. He has a long arm stroke in the back as he works into a high 3/4 arm slot forward. Made consistent throws to second base, with good carry, and an arm velocity up to 84mph. At the plate, he hits from a tall and open stance with high hand set. Starts with activated hands and drives the back hip through the hitting zone. He showed a fast barrel as hit line drives consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph. In live game action, he had a triple to LCF and reached on a walk. Keaton is a solid player who has the potential to play at the next level.

01/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Glendale (Phoenix), AZ Keaton is a corner infielder who can swing it. At the plate, he has near pro level hitting / power abilities. He has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack, crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 90 mph). At 3B, he has plus lateral range for a big guy, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. A projectable 1B, Keaton has a big upside and will get looks from the college coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
