12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Honolulu, HI Keegan continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. Keegan has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Keegan is a 6ft/175 SS/OF in the 2024 class who is coachable, works hard, and is a team player. In the field, he shows remarkable speed (6.70) and plays on the balls of his feet. Feet stay active and he gains ground to the baseball well. Has an athletic fielding position and his hands are sure. His exchanges are quick and clean and he gets rid of the baseball from an over-the-top and high 3 qtr slot. Feeds are accurate and show signs of life. At the plate, he has high hands and a squared stance. Displays proper rhythm and his barrel gets to a great plane. His attack angle is short and compact and can drive the baseball at 87-91 exit velo. Overall, Keegan is a plus tool player and scouts feel he can make an impact at the next level.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Keegan is a talented OF/2B out of Honolulu, HI in the 2024 class. Defensively, he shows athletic actions at both spots. Scouts like his 2B actions but want him to continue to play both and master his craft. He shows a relaxed feel in the field and his feet work well. Great runner at 6.96 speed and gains a low and squared fielding position. His pocket has great feel at both spots and can redirect the baseball with advanced ball security. Arm works at 83 velo and is accurate with life. At the plate, he has excellent hand-eye coordination. Gets into his load well from a comfortable and relaxed feel. Shows pull side pop at 88 exit velo with exceptional barrel control. Overall, Keegan is a prospect to keep an eye on in the 2024 class.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Oahu, HI Keegan is a strong OF/SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are firm and present out front. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (6.88 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting/power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side with an aggressive hip turn. Keegan has a lot of potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
