06/23/2018 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Keith is a thin and athletic 2021 middle INF prospect. On the INF, Keith has an active prep step and reads the ball off the bat well. He creates angles, funnels the ball into his body, and has a clean exchange. Continuing to throw from multiple arm slots and following a long toss program will increase his arm strength across the diamond. At the plate, Keith starts in an open stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He gets his back side through his swing, he attacks the inside part of the ball, and stays balanced at contact. Keith is a hard worker, he's eager to learn and has a team first mindset. Keith will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/18/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Keith is an athletic two-way RHP/SS who shows projectability at the next level. At SS, he showed fluid motions with quick feet taking good angles around the baseball. He fielded out in front and showed a quick exchange into his throw. Keith also displayed plus range as he got to balls in the hole easily. On the mound, He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and his fastball topped out at 73mph. He also showed a breaking ball with an 11-5 break with tight spin. With the bat, Keith hit two doubles in his live at bats. He starts from an open stance and uses his quick hands to stay inside the baseball and drive it back up the middle. Adding strength is a major key for Keith as he has plenty of time to grow and mature.

02/12/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Keith is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2021. At SS, he displays active feet with good range. He fields the ball smooth from his backhand side as he makes effortless/accurate throws to his target. On the mound, this righty delivers from a low 3/4 arm slot. He keeps his eyes on target, has good rhythm and throws a slider that will strike hitters out. At the plate, Keith has big time potential as he attacks pitches in the zone. He loads, engages his lower 1/2, whipping the barrel through the zone as he drives pitches on a line with hard contact. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Stay out in front
2. More pre pitch
3. Develop softer hands
Pitching
1. Stay balanced
2. Stronger frontside
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Offense
1. Level swing path
2. Bat speed

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
