02/16/2020 - College PREP - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Kendall is a RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Kendall gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline towards the plate. Kendall shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 82mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 70-71mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 70-73mph with late arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Kendall shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He shows fluid rhythm and takes a direct swing, leading to solid gap to gap pop. Overall, Kendall is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Kendall continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. At 3B he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 66-67 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with loose spin and gradual break. Delivery is repeatable and simple as he works in line to his target. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

He takes a big hack with some bat whip and drives the ball on a line. On the mound, this RHP works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and stays in-line toward the dish. He drives downhill and throws strikes. FB sits in the upper 60's as he touched 74. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with early action. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
