09/26/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - MD (HS) Kendrick continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate will on line carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing (92 mph exit velocity), stays inside the ball and utilizes all fields with gap-to-gap pop.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kendrick is an athletic OF prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Kendrick shows efficient footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into position on time and stays directional through the ball. He makes a clean exchange and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated on time in a small load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a smooth, compact swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud line drives to all fields. Overall, Kendrick is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

12/29/2019 - College PREP - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Kendrick continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kendrick is an athletic and talented 2021 OF prospect that had good energy on the field. In the OF, Kendrick is on time with his prep step, he anticipates the ball off the bat, and has a quick first step to the ball. He works behind the ball and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing the ball. He has good instincts backing up the bases and shows leadership skills at the position. At the plate, Kendrick starts in an athletic stance and has a simple load into the drive position. He creates backside drive with his lower half, hits off a firm front side, and has a level swing path to the ball. He has a middle approach, rotates his core, and makes consistent hard contact. Kendrick is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

06/24/2018 - College PREP - Columbia, MD Kendrick continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an outstanding runner at 6.76. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building ore arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Kendrick is an athletic OF prospect who continued to show as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Kendrick shows quick footwork and is very agile ranging to the ball. He gets into an athletic fielding position and makes consistently on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. Kendrick is a skilled prospect who has upside on the diamond.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Kendrick is a lean, athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.19. In the OF, he utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through more with momentum to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the plate, he was 3 for 8 with a 2B. On the mound, he shows good tempo through a repeatable delivery and high ¾ arm slot. Fastball showed a range of 65-70 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is outstanding as he has a positive attitude, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 4 years to further develop, Kendrick has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
