01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Kennedy is a tall, athletic SS/RHP who showed as a prospect at the Under Armour Pre Season All American Tournament. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel ) exit velocity = 83 mph) with gap to gap pop. At SS, he works from the ground-up with smooth actions. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (7.06 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping (89 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 85-87 mph. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Kennedy has an upside on the mound and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
