08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Kenneth is a solid, strong catcher that will graduate in 2016. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.25-2.39 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Receiving / blocking skills show playable tools at the next level as he continues to develop and get more reps. At the plate, he an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel, mainly to the pull side. Power numbers will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude and works hard. Kenneth has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
