01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kenneth continues to show solid progress in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / clean and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with on line carry across the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Barrel accuracy is a plus and utilizes his lower half well through the swing. Kenneth has a ton of potential and is ready to make a difference at the next level.

07/27/2016 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Kenneth is an athletic shortstop prospect who has good tools across the board. His calling card is his speed and he is a menace on the bases and turns that speed into very good range. He can pick it at short with good hands that he presents to field. He also shows his toughness by going all out for balls and getting dirty. At the plate, he has natural hitting instincts with good balance and level hips. He makes consistent, hard contact with a direct bat path and fast bat speed through the zone. He works up the middle and hits line drives all over the field. Kenneth is a difference maker who can play at the next level.

06/17/2016 - USA Baseball 17U Championships Gordon is a very talented MIF prospect who continues to shine. He is a very hard worker who leaves it all on the field everyday. A leadoff type - this speedster (60 yard dash = 6.39) can make things happen. He remains quiet/relaxed in his setup with fluid rhythm to load. He has good zone awareness and works the count, not swinging at much that he cannot handle. He barrels the ball up and gets down the line, putting pressure on the defense to make the play. Defensively, he has quick/athletic actions and is aggressive to come and get the ball. He has soft/sure hands and can turn the DP efficiently. Kenneth showed his ability to make adjustments quickly as he is a very coachable player. Gordon is an polished MIF who will make a great asset to any squad at the next level.

01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Since Kenneth's first Baseball Factory event, he has put on 20 lbs of strength and grown 3 inches, and now shows the signs of being an explosive speed guy. In his most recent event, he ran a 6.69 sixty and showed improvements to almost all areas of his game. Offensively, he kept his head quiet through the swing process, allowing for strong barrel accuracy, and he used the middle of the field with his approach. He worked his hands & hips together to generate decent bat whip and he clocked his best exit velo at 88 mph. In the middle infield, he made plays with a sure glove, working very well laterally to get into his fielding position on-time. He was fluid with his arm action to throw and was accurate to his targets. Overall - the progress shown by Kenneth is continual, and he still has another two high school seasons to strengthen before he steps foot on a college campus in the fall of 2017.

12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Kenneth again showed all the intangibles we have seen from event to event, and ran a 6.85 sixty. Offensively, he used his speed very well and showed flashes of pop when centered. Defensively, he had quick footwork to get into position to make plays and showed the most fluid arm action we have seen to date. Overall - Kenneth plays the game the right way and is a hard nosed player that brings the spark to the team.

10/14/2015 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Kenneth continues to show well and has improve his abilities on the diamond. At SS, he makes the routine plays look easy and fields out front with a sure glove. He is a vocal leader and is always thinking one play ahead. At the plate, he works hard and constantly battles with 2 strikes. Barrel delivery is quick as he makes hard/consistent contact with gap-to-gap power. Overall, Kenneth is a mature, talented player that continues to make positive adjustments in his game.

07/29/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Kenneth is a lead by example type of player that is always anticipating plays and finding ways to win. In the middle of the diamond his glove continues to show improvement and his range continues to grow with his agility work. His arm strength is beginning to develop further, and he works to stay through the baseball to add momentum and carry on his throws. Situationally, he was in the right spots on contact and made nice plays in games, including throwing out a runner from shallow right/center to complete a relay. At the dish, he was constantly pressuring the defense, putting the ball in play, and running hard out of the box. He looked to advanced bags and was a threat to snag one with good instincts. In the cage, he worked on staying in his legs and extending out over the front side with more fluidity and top hand involvement. All in all - Kenneth has shown the upward trend of growth, and still has strong potential with his work ethic and athleticism.

06/20/2015 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Kenneth displayed strong ability against good competition at the Omaha Baseball Factory National World Series. Defensively in the middle infield, he worked his feet pre-pitch and came to get his hops, working low to field with his glove in front. He was controlled with his body and sure with the glove to make plays, and had good rhythm to field and throw. continued work to quicken his feet and increase his first step with reads will give him a greater advantage as the game speeds up. Offensively, he lands soft on his front side and delivers the barrel on a short/compact path. He stays inside the baseball and worked on becoming more fluid throughout the week. Overall - Kenneth shows a nice upward trend of growth with his play ability and projection.

03/22/2015 - College PREP - Brentwood (Long Island), NY Kenneth continues to show class and a hardworking mentality when playing. As a middle infielder, he gets in a good pre-pitch position with plus mobility to his glove side. He works the DP well with smooth arm actions, good exchanges, and accurate throws. Working on his BH and attacking on the DP ball will improve his defensive game. At the plate, he hits from a square stance with some balance and decent timing. He makes good contact with his strong hands and decent bat speed. In all - Kenneth continues to show improvement and will see success in this game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
