Official Scouting Report

  • OFPosition Projection

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kenneth is a lean and athletic 2020 OF prospect. In the OF, Kenneth is on time with his prep step and he has a quick first step to the ball. He plays through ground balls and he makes accurate throws. At the plate, Kenneth starts in a squared stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and he attacks the inside part of the ball. He’s aggressive on fastballs early in counts and he looks to drive the ball to the pull side. Kenneth is a competitor and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Kenneth is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Kenneth shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps them accurate and on-line to his target. Kenneth can improve defensively by quickening his exchange. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load well and maintains center balance. His quick hands produce fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact to all fields. Kenneth can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Kenneth keeps his eyes on target and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm action and stays inline towards the plate. Kenneth shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with good arm side run. Breaking ball sits at 57mph with 11-5 break. Kenneth can improve as a pitcher by coming to a balance point over the rubber. Overall, Kenneth is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

03/25/2018 - College PREP - Lake Charles, LA Kenneth is a lean, athletic OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is excellent as indicated by his 60 time of 6.87. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads ball well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. With 2 years to further develop, Kenneth has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
