Official Scouting Report

02/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Kenneth is a 2B/RHP who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. At 2B, he takes aggressive routes to batted balls, with active feet, and showed ability to play through the ball. He works down to up and fields from an athletic/low fielding position with a low funnel. Showed a glove angle with hands out front. Has a loose/quick arm stroke, with ability to throw from multiple arm angles, and had an arm velocity up to 78mph. On the mound, he gets a good rear hip coil and keeps his front side closed throughout delivery. He showed some deception to his delivery. Attacks hitters with a FB that sits 72-74mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with some depth, and a 10/5 shaped slider with tight spin. 2-seam FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He is centered at contact and has an all fields approach. Gets good extension out front as he squared up balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph during BP. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee Kenneth having a bright future on the baseball field.

12/06/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frisco (DFW), TX Kenneth continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 68 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

10/27/2019 - College PREP - Corpus Christi, TX Kenneth is a young, 2-way player who will graduate in 2023. At 3rd base, Kenneth makes plays on balls hit his way through playable footwork. He has a good glove angle to the ball, he picks out the right hops, and throws with a high 3/4 arm slot across the diamond. Quicker feet and getting into a better fielding position can help defense get better. On the mound, Kenneth has a repeatable delivery, he separates his hands on time, and he lands with good direction toward home; competing in the zone. A looser arm action and better finish will help mound effectiveness get better. At the plate, this RHH has a tall/open stance, a short/square stride, and good balance. He has quiet eyes, stays inside the ball, and hits line drives gap to gap. Hitting can get better with work on timing, added bat speed, and work on barrel accuracy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
