Official Scouting Report

  • RHP/3BPosition Projection

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Kenneth continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap to gap pop. On the mound, this righty has a 2 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 77-79 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late/sharp break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working both sides of the plate.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Kenneth is a RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. On the mound, Kenneth gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Kenneth shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph. Breaking ball sits at 70mph. Changeup sits at 72mph. Overall, Kenneth is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/21/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Glendale (Phoenix), AZ Kenneth continues to refine his delivery and is harnessing better command of his 4-pitch mix. Very good downhill plane to his fastball, and a lot of north-south break to his curveball from that high 3/4 slot. Slider shows some promise with later, tighter 10/4 break in the low 70's, and he gets some nice fade on his changeup as well. Will continue to unlock more velocity with the combination of strength improvements and better utilization of his lower half. His arm is clean and has flashed quickness when he's upped the effort/intent. Exciting to consider how he's going to grow and improve over the next year and beyond. Looking forward to seeing him live again in January as he pitches at the Pre Season All America Tournament.

09/06/2020 - All-In Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Kenneth continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting/power potential is now outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches.

12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Kenneth is a talented RHP/3B prospect who has a projectable, strong build. He has high hands with an activated load and soft stride. Kenneth shows explosive bat speed with a smooth swing path. He has a strong barrel and rotates effectively with his core. Kenneth can drive the ball to the pull side with power. In the field, Kenneth has an athletic ready position and moves with smooth, quick footwork. He shows good range in each direction laterally fielding the ball in a low position. Kenneth has sure hands and a clean exchange leading into a short, quick arm action. He plays with momentum through the ball throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate with good carry across the diamond. Overall, Kenneth has an above average game and potential to make an impact at the next level.

10/03/2018 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Kenneth is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic. He has a quick release and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good carry across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and gets back into his load well. He leads with his lower half and is able to produce solid contact when he connects. On the mound, Kenneth gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Kenneth shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 65-67mph with 11-5 break. With three more years to develop, Kenneth has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
