10/08/2014 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Kenny is a physical 2015 two-way guy that showed consistency in both spots at the AZ Senior Fall Classic. On the mound, the southpaw threw a FB, CB, and CH with free arm action and a repeatable delivery. He showed good sink to his fastball when he stayed on-top and had sharp action on his 1-7 CB. He flashed some inconsistent feel for his CH, but when on, had sink and was thrown with fastball arm speed. More lower half use and more consistent release point (on-top on ball) will improve feel. Offensively, he has good balance, tracks well, and works oppo. He has good bat speed and barrel accuracy and worked to drive with his lower half. Defensively in the OF, he took good routes/angles to balls and got a good jump off the bat. He was sure with the glove and made plays, but has room to grow and improve. In all - Kenny is a promising player with a good build and fundamentals to groom at the next level.

03/30/2014 - College PREP - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Kenny continues to improve in his game. With the stick, this RH swinger shows a middle of the field approach with quiet actions. He delivers the barrel and utilizes his lower 1/2 well to create torque and pop off of the barrel. In the OF, he maintains good body control as he hustles into position behind the fly-ball. He has a clean exchange and works in-line toward his target. On the mound, he has a repeatable delivery in which he delivers from a free/easy arm action. He drives off of the rubber with his lower 1/2 with his FB showing run. A talented player - Kenny will make an impact on the diamond.

08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Kenny showed well on the mound during his time at Pirate City. He has a balanced delivery, good direction, and he finishes in a good fielding position. He mixes his pitches well, competes in the zone, and he fields his position well. Offensively, Kenny has a square approach, a proper load, and a direct barrel to the ball. He showed positive actions, good coachabilty, and progressed as the week went on.

04/07/2013 - College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA Kenny is an athletic LHP that will graduate in 2015. On the mound, Kenny shows a controlled balance point with on time separation, his tempo is smooth with a sound landing. His breaking ball shows an 11/5 shape with power action and the ability to throw it for strikes. Kenny reaches a complete finish but will need to work on his direction, landing in line with his target. Offensively, his setup is square, lower half gets through with a solid lower half and balance. Kenny displayed gap to gap power with good rhythm to his swing. He will need to work on the timing of his swing to be more consistent. With two more years before graduation, Kenny shows solid fundamentals and will continue to improve as he physically matures.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
