Creating an earlier rhythm and separation with the pitcher will allow this young hitter to drive the baseball through the middle of the diamond more consistently. This backstop shows ability to cut angles on while blocking balls in the dirt and is soft off his chest with quick reaction to recover. Keola shows ability to be consistent and accurate with efficient footwork on his throws. Keola is a young backstop with good upside and with continued growth will be a great fit for many college programs.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
