01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Keshawn is a 2027 1B/LHP who showcased his talents at the BF Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 1B, he presents a big target for his infielders. He gets into a square fielding position and presents his glove in front with his eyes behind. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a loose arm action. At the plate, the left-handed hitter has a open stance and a simple load. He has good rhythm and tries to hit the top half of the ball. He showcased some power to the pull side with a 79 mph exit velocity. On the mound, he showcased 2 pitches. His fastball had some tail and sat 63-65 mph. He paired that with a breaking ball with 1-7 break that kept hitters off balance. Keshawn has a direct stride line and a controlled landing. He had good mound presence and a repeatable motion. We foresee that Keshawn will continue to progress both on the mound and at the plate in the years to come.

11/02/2023 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at JRTC Keshawn is a 5ft 11/245 LHP/1B in the 2027 class. In the field, he shows a feel for the position and awareness around the bag. Gains a solid set-up and reads his hops well. The ball sticks to the pocket and he can redirect it with clean actions. Uses multiple arm slots based upon his defensive zones. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix from a high 3 qtr. slot. His FB has arm side run at 63-7 and worked low and away. His CB shaped 2-8 and was in the zone with high frequency. His CH showed sinking actions at 57-8 and produced soft contact. At the plate, he swings with intent to do damage. He likes to be aggressive and attack the baseball. Shows a smooth and controlled swing path with production to the gaps. Had an excellent weekend with 5 hits and reached base 7 out of 8 plate appearances. Overall, scouts love his game and what he brings to the table. Look for big things to happen for Keshawn over the next few years.

07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Keshawn is an athletic 1B/LHP in the 2027 class. In the field, he squares his body to the baseball and is on-time to read his hops. Ball sticks to the glove and he displays ball security. Arms plays well at 73 and is accurate with life. He displays excellent mound presence and composure. Operates with a 3-pitch mix from a ¾ slot. His FB sat 62-5 and throws with intent. His CB shaped at 1-7 and ranged 51-3. He is developing a CH and working with grips will help polish the pitch. Where he truly shines is at the plate. Had a big weekend with 5 hits and a walk. Is physical in the box (5 ft 11/235) and his strength is shown. Ball jumps at 78 exit velo and consistently creates hard contact. Overall, once Keshawn gains more feel for pitching, he can be a powerful two-way player.

06/05/2023 - National Showcase - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Keshawn continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are firm but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 64 mph Fastball shows range of 63-64 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual action. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping pitch to hitters. Control is solid as he throws strikes withal his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Fall Prospects Tournament (MS) Keshawn continues to shine in his baseball abilities. continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 57-59 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Keshawn is an 1B/LHP who will graduate in 2027. Medium frame build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. At 1B, he gets good reads off bat and efficient footwork enables him to take good angles to balls. Square fielding position as he fields ball out front with ability to make routine plays. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with an arm velocity of 56mph across the infield. On the mound, this left-handed pitcher works with good tempo. Good direction towards plate and ability to throw strikes. Attacks hitters with a FB that was up to 59mph, a breaking ball 2/8 shape, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. A left-handed hitter, starts with an athletic and even stance. Quiet head/eyes enable him to track pitches well. Showed good awareness of the strike zone. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

01/14/2022 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex(Ages 12-14) Keshawn is a strong 1B/LHP out of Montgomery, AL in the class of 2027. At 1B, he showed a quick first step and the ability to get into a good fielding position by presenting his glove out in front of his eyes. He made clean exchanges and good accurate feeds/throws to his target. He works the bag well and showed he can pick it for his infielders. Offensively, he showed off his swing by having good quick hands. He swing with conviction to do damage which allowed him to hit for power for his age. On the mound, he displayed confidence and good mechanics by gathering over the rubber, separating on time and striding in line to his target with a controlled landing. His fastball had cut and topped out at 55 mph. Keshawn can benefit from programs/drills such as towel drills, bands, conditioning, strength training, arm path, long toss, speed & agility.

10/17/2021 - All-In Membership - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Keshawn is a 1B/LHP who will graduate high school in 2027. A young/developing player who has plenty of room to add more strength throughout. At 1B, he works to center the baseball and pick out hops. Showed firm hands with a clean transfer and a loose arm action. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with consistent/on-line throws and an arm velocity up to 56mph. Showed good actions at first base. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. Works with good direction and is balanced at release. Picks up target early and keeps on mitt throughout delivery. Throws a FB that sits 54-57mph with some tailing action, a 2/8 shaped breaking ball with some depth, and a developing changeup. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he starts with a tall and closed stance. A square glide step, with smooth timing, and ability to make hard contact. A flat barrel path enables him to hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 68mph during his round of BP. With 6 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
