07/22/2020 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Kethan is a skilled 2-way player who continues to show well on the diamond. On the mound, this lefty works the ball in and out and pounds the zone with strikes. FB now tops out at 76 mph with some tailing action. Changeup compliments his FB well and will be a solid 'K' pitch. In the OF, he hustles to his right and left and can cover some ground. He works behind and through the ball with a clean transfer to throw. As a hitter, he maintains a simple/loose setup with smooth rhythm to load. He whips the barrel and engages his lower 1/2, driving the ball with some pop. This 2-way player has upside and will make an impact as he approaches his junior year.

06/23/2020 - All-In Membership - Las Vegas, NV Kethan is a talented L/L 2-way prospect as an OF/LHP. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and covers ground with speed. He works behind the through the ball, gaining ground toward his target. Transfer/exchange is clean with accuracy on his throws. With the bat, this lefty stands in with an athletic/tall setup and centered balance. He engages his lower 1/2 and whips the barrel with speed, connecting with some pop. He hits the ball where it's pitched and hits line-drives consistently. On the mound, this LHP has an effective 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot and free/clean arm action. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and works in-line toward the dish. FB tops out at 71 mph as he fills up the zone with strikes. Curveball has 1/7 shape with hard/tight spin. Changeup has slight movement and compliments his FB well. This 2022 grad has a solid all-around skill-set with upside on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
