  • LHP/1BPosition Projection

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kevahn is a talented LHP/1B prospect who has a strong, athletic build. On the mound, Kevahn has a confident presence and pitches with an aggressive approach. He starts square on the rubber and shows rushed mechanics. Kevahn throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm action. He lands closed to home plate and can benefit from a longer stride. Kevahn finishes with an upright chest. He commands all 3 pitches with late movement on his fastball and curveball. In the field, Kevahn has an athletic ready position and he moves with smooth footwork. He takes effective angles and presents his glove as he fields the ball in a low, athletic position. Kevahn shows soft hands with a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action. He plays with momentum through the baseball throwing from a 3/4 arm slot showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively, Kevahn has an open, athletic setup with loose, comfortable hands. He has controlled, on-time rhythm with simple load and short, soft stride. Kevahn uses his lower half throughout his swing with good coordination between his hips and hands. He lands the barrel to the baseball producing hard contact. Kevahn has the ability to drive the ball to the pull side with power. Overall, Kevahn is a versatile prospect who has a bright future on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
