06/29/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Kevin is an athletic LHH 2B who shines on the diamond. With the bat, this lefty shows a balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. He whips the barrel with speed and connects with pop - driving the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 91 mph). He is a threat to steal once on base as he has tremendous speed (60 yard dash = 6.68). Defensively, Kevin has smooth actions working right to left around the GB. Hands are soft as he works low through the ball. Kevin is a very talented prospect who will be one to watch as he enters his senior year.

09/26/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Kendall makes the game look easy with both the bat and the glove. He ran 6.72 in the 60 yard dash, and featured a loose and fluid left-handed stroke. His approach simple and balanced, and built for consistent hard line drives to the big part of the ballpark. He made confident swings against quality stuff from both RHP and LHP in game at bats, offering even more evidence of a high level hit tool. Defensively, he maintained excellent body control along with sure hands and precise actions. He moved with ease both ways and showed the ability to make a variety of throws. Overall, a well-rounded player with advanced tools and the ability to put them into play at a very high level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
