02/20/2023 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Kingston continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 63 mph. fastball showed a range of 61-63 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with early break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving stock on the mound. At the plate, hitting / power potential is well above average through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

08/21/2021 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Kingston is a 3B prospect who showcased his skills during the Summer Pro Training event. In the field, Kingston shows active footwork and works to continue to move his feet through the ball. He has a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, working to keep them accurate to his target. He tries to consistently get into a low fielding position and fields the ball out in front of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to great gap to gap power. Overall, with 6 years to develop Kingston has the potential to turn into a very solid prospect on the diamond.

07/05/2021 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (MS) Kingston continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 59 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound.

03/13/2021 - Spring Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Kingston is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who continues to develop on the field. On the mound, Kingston gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, driving his back leg through. Kingston shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 58mph. Breaking ball sits from 53-54mph. Changeup sits from 52-54mph with arm side run. Extending through his release can help Kingston improve his pitch command and velocity. In the field, Kingston shows efficient footwork and fields in an athletic position. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Kingston can build up his arm strength by long tossing. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to strong line drives and gap to gap power. Working on his pitch selection can help Kingston create more consistent contact. Overall, Kingston is a developing prospect who has a bright future on the diamond.

02/27/2021 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Kingston is a RHP/3B prospect who worked hard during the Mid-Atlantic Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, producing strong line drives. Getting his stride foot down sooner can help Kingston create more consistent contact. With six more years to develop, Kingston has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/23/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Kingston is lean 3B who a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, makes adjustments, and competes on the field. With 7 years to further develop, Kingston has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
