01/12/2024 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Sarasota Kingston is a 2026 OF/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Spring Training in Sarasota. He ran his 60-yard dash in 7.09 seconds. In the OF he shows quick feet and good body control at baseball. Runs good routes to balls and works behind ball. Made throws through cutoff man from a high 3/4 arm slot. On the mound he has some deception in his arm slot and fields his position. He breaks his hands on-time and lands square to his target. He challenges hitters with a FB that topped out at 60mph and a 10/4 shaped slider. He worked 1 innings of no-hit baseball. At the plate he hits from an athletic and closed stance. He is aggressive in the strike zone and keeps his weight between his knees. In live games he showed good patience and plate discipline as he drew 2 walks and made consistent contact. Kingston is team player and plays the game with good effort. We look forward to seeing him at another event real soon.

11/12/2023 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Kingston is a 2026 OF/RHP from Watertown, Ma. In the field, he like to play aggressively and use his solid speed (7.16 runner) to take proper angles and stay outside the baseball. Gains a low fielding position and creates a solid glove lane. His exchanges are clean and uses a 3 qtr. slot for his release. Feeds are at 75 velo and working to throw the top of the baseball will allow him to stay directional to his targets and increase carry. On the mound, scouts like his athletic ability and the extension he gains. Arm is clean from an over-the-top slot. FB sits 59-61 with slight movements. His SL ranged 45-46 and needs to stay on top of the pitch to increase effectiveness. At the plate, he has an aggressive approach from a crouched stance. Generates squared contact and can spray the baseball to all parts of the field. Overall, Kinsgston is a fine player and with 3 years left to develop, scouts think he can become a solid player for his program.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
