11/14/2013 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Koby is an athletic, smart and agile middle infielder. Defensively, Koby is very smart, makes great reads, gets to the ball and flows through very well. He is constantly moving and keeping his feet active. He will need to improve his body control during throwing and approaching the ball. At the plate, Koby stays balanced, has an athletic setup and swings aggressively. His soft hands and good bat/barrel control mixed with his ongoing improvement staying through contact and extending will help him to grow as a hitter. Koby sets an example for teammates through his demeanor and hard working approach.

08/31/2013 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 12-14) Koby is an athletic player, with potential as he grows. He shows the ability to hit to all fields, and control the barrel well, he is able to do this, due to him having great hands as a hitter. He stays inside the baseball very well with the hands and the barrel, this is the reason he is able to hit to all fields well. Somethings that Koby needs to focus on to become a complete hitter, is the ability to connect the entire body during the swing, and also firing the back side to the baseball. Koby tends to let his hands lead his swing, and with his size he is unable to get a lot of power into the baseball, by using the entire body he will be able to get more power into the baseball. He needs to let the back side fire, and then let the hands take over in the swing.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
