Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Kody is a hardworking LHP/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set. On the mound, Kody works with a quick tempo and balanced mechanics. He has an on-time delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. Kody has a controlled landing at the proper stride length. He finishes with an upright chest. He plays the position athletically and does a nice job being ready to field. His fastball shows tailing movement and his changeup is deceptive with similar movement. In the field, Kody gives high effort and plays with an aggressive approach. He fields the ball with a firm glove. Kody has a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate and he is developing arm strength. Offensively, Kody has an open setup with a centered balance. He has a good load with an open stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Kody keeps his head still and tracks the ball well. He has a level swing path and stays balanced. Kody is a contact type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. Overall, Kody has the right approach and potential to advance his game with development.

02/10/2018 - College PREP - Annville, PA Kody is a LHP/OF who will graduate in 2018. In the OF, Kody has playable hands and feet and takes good angles to the ball. He presents his glove well, fields in a square position, and throws with consistency from a long arm action to his target. Playing more through the ball and raising his arm slot can help defensive skills get better. On the mound, Kody has good balance, a repeatable delivery, and he lands with good direction toward home. He works down in the zone and spots his pitches well. At the plate, Kody has a square set-up, loose hands, and he swings aggressively. He repeats his swing, makes square contact, and hits hard to the pull side. More lower body, letting the ball travel deeper, and better timing can help spike hitting. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Kody.

08/03/2017 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Kody is a versatile LHP/OF prospect who plays the game hard and graduates in 2018. On the mound, Kody keeps his eyes on his target and repeats his mechanics. He has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and stays square to home plate with the proper stride length. He does a nice job rotating with his core towards his target as he finishes. His fastball shows cut action and his curveball is medium breaking. As a right-handed hitter, Kody has a square stance with his weight on his heels. He takes a load and a long stride. Kody has short quick hands and gets good extension at contact. He has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. In the outfield, Kody plays with effective footwork and an aggressive approach covering good ground. He presents his glove and reads the ball well. Kody shows a quick arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He is building arm strength and working to play through the baseball. Overall, Kody is coachable prospect who has a solid approach to the game and potential to advance his skills to the next level.

07/17/2017 - College PREP - Rindge, NH Kody is a hardworking LHP/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2018. On the mound, Kody has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He keeps his eyes on his target and maintains square direction. Kody has a controlled landing and is developing his finish. His curveball has good tilt while also featuring a slider and changeup. As a right-handed hitter, Kody has a square setup with a strong base and his weight in the front of his stance. He takes a short stride and can benefit from a load. Kody has an aggressive approach and the ability to spray the ball to all fields. In the field, Kody plays with active footwork and hustles. He fields the ball with soft hands and has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball and his throws are online with carry. Overall, Kody has a well-rounded skill set and a good approach to the game giving him a bright future on the diamond.
