05/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Jupiter, FL Kody is an athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays OF. On the mound, Kody has good balance, a clean arm circle, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He works in good tempo, has good direction toward home, and he competes in the zone. Defensively, Kody covers ground well through an aggressive approach. He has a presentable glove, a clean exchange, and he throws with momentum and carry across the diamond. At the plate, Kody stands in with an open setup, has a square stride toward the pitcher, and has fast bat speed. He swings on plane, makes consistent contact, and he hits from a firm back side. Kody can continue to improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
