06/26/2023 - National Showcase - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Koleton is a 2025 SS prospect with a tall, strong frame at 6'1" 170 pounds. In the field, he gets a great prep step, showing off active feet and range to the glove side and backhand. He gets in an athletic fielding position and does well to present his hands out in front when fielding. He secures the ball well and works through his backhand. His exchange is clean and he has a short arm action. His throws are accurate and he does well to create momentum through his targets while recording a max velo of 85 MPH. At the plate, he starts in a crouched stance and gets a good load back. His grip is relaxed and he has a good bat angle and bat path to the baseball. A very raw hitter, he works hard to get his lower half involved and maintain a fluid rhythm with his swing. Overall, Koleton is an intriguing prospect that we are excited to see more of as he continues to develop!

06/25/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Koleton continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally and covers ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 70-71 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Koleton is a lean OF/RHP who will graduate in 2025. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls to play through well with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic, squared setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. At the event, he was 3 for 4. On the mound, he throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball showed a range of 69-72 mph with tailing action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is a plus as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 6 years to further develop, Koleton has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
