11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Kolten continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is soft / clean and but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 50-52 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

08/25/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Kolten is a young, lean, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. On the mound, Kolten has good balance over the rubber, he works well to his balance point, and lands with direction toward home. His FB ranged from 45 - 48 MPH and his CB from 42 - 43 MPH. At SS, Kolten has active feet, he fields the ball aggressively, and his hands are clean; with an accurate arm across the diamond. Offensively, Kolten has a square set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He swings aggressively, makes level/consistent contact, and he finds the barrel. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
