05/15/2016 - College PREP - Bowie, MD Burkowski continues to grow as a talented two way player at 3B/1B. The strong framed corner infielder shows a strong arm with late carry across the diamond allowing him to make consistent accurate throws from 3B. He is sure handed with the glove and uses a clean exchange that allows him to make routine plays. Moving across to 1B this R/R has quick arm, soft under control actions with his hands and good bag awareness. At the plate the ball explodes off his bat, as he is an aggressive hitter with good rhythm and ability to drive ball to all fields. Entering his senior season Kristofer is a solid two way player and be a great fit on a college roster.

08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Kristofer is a gamer who brings his all to the field. He's a coachable player who is willing to make the adjustments to take his game to the next level. At the plate, this strong righty steps into the box with a purpose. He has good balance with fluid rhythm to load. He battles and works deep into the count. He has a good eye, proven by drawing 3 walks. He went 4 for 7 with 4 singles and 3 walks. The ball explodes off of his barrel as he will be a run producer. At 1B, Burkowski shows quick/active footwork and moves well into a low fielding position. He funnels smoothly and gathers well. He is sure handed as has the ability to pick it. From 3B, he gains ground with a quick release, firing strong throws across the diamond. Kristofer is a talented player who has a bright future ahead of him.

05/17/2015 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Kristofer is a R/R 2-way player 1B/3B who has a strong build (6'0"/200). With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced approach with rhythm in his hands. Barrel delivery is direct to and through the zone as he connects and drives the middle of the field. His exit velocity off the bat came in 88 mph, excellent for a player his age. Leveling out his swing path will result in more consistent contact. At 1B, Burkowski shows active footwork and presents his glove fielding the GB out in front. He is sure handed and shows the ability to pick throws out of the dirt. At 3B, he works around the GB moving from right to left. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to 1B. Working from the ground-up will help to improve his defensive abilities. Kristofer has skills and should find success on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
